Living in the Midlands of England, I get to live on the edge of the lovely countryside whilst being able to hop on a train to cities such as London, Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester. I started this blog in July 2009 as a general expression of all things ‘me’ but I soon found it taking a fashion and style direction. I’m a little obsessed with hydrangeas, stickers, The Phantom of the Opera, Hello Kitty and My Little Pony. I was a columnist at British Style Bloggers from September 2009 to March 2012 and was an editor of the Links à la Mode for Independent Fashion Bloggers from July 2010 to February 2011.
You can find my Press and Features page here.
I often look to colourful and cute Japanese street styles for inspiration, especially lolita and fairy kei, and it would be a dream come true to head to Japan for a major dose of the culture. If I spent my life in one fashion collection alone it would be Luella SS09. A ladylike look with quirky twists. Growing up I was surrounded by my father's fine art books and through them grew to love the opulent fashions of centuries past, particularly the Rococo styles worn by Marie Antoinette and her peers. I'm a vintage magpie, especially tea dresses and 50s style ‘new look’ dresses. I a penchant for hair bows, skirts I can twirl in, fabulous shoes, pink, bunnies, bows, fabulous hats, carousels, glitter, peter pan collars, ballerina inspired fashions and handbags.
When working with companies I like to feel they are a good fit for my blog’s brand but am always open to new ones, so if you would like to work with me just ask. I am happy to honestly review products, attend events, create sponsored blog posts, host giveaways and will accept a variety of advertisments. I love to get creative and would be really happy to discuss any other collaborative ventures you might have in mind so please contact me at intrinsicallyflorrie@yahoo.co.uk if you would like to work together.
