Looking forward to SS12, Selfridges at the Bullring Birmingham

Of course sale mania has taken hold now, but a while ago I was kindly invited to attend a calm bloggers evening at Selfridges within the Bullring Birmingham and was a very happy bunny to attend as it's one of my favourite stores. We were warmly welcomed to the Moët Bar and Gallery Restaurant for a trend presentation for the coming SS12 season. I absolutely love the sound of both Underwater Love with blue tones, pastels and seascape prints and 50s inspired Film Blance. We had a good look at some lovely products exclusive to Selfridges and then embarked on a tour around the beautiful stock...






Looking at my outfits it soon becomes clear I have quite a penchant for handbags, and it could be said the accessories department seen here started it all off. Selfridges Birmingham was the first store I ever fell in love with. These days it feels like I'm constantly hopping on trains and trotting round cities but this has been a growing hobby for only a few years. I'm a country girl through and through but I discovered the world of glossy high fashion through devouring magazines and became determined to drag my parents to the shiny Bullring.
The top floor of Selfridges became my little haven of pretty things and has produced a lot of my favourite things in my wardrobe, including several beloved handbags. Then they've got the fabulous beauty area and menswear which is great for gifts, a fantastic high street floor and the lowest level with all kinds of food along with super cute stationary and interior items.








After the womenswear and menswear floors we stepped on the escalator once more to be taken down to the foodhall where we were very well provided for with the Neopolitan delights of Rossopomodoro. Tummies filled, we went our separate ways back upstairs in the beauty hall for our makeover treats.
On the evening I wore a vintage dress, Luella bag, Mulberry shoes, Marc by Marc Jacobs scarf, Accessorize hair bow and H&M tights. Thank you so much to everyone at Selfridges Bullring for organising such an enjoyable event!
