There is just something so magical about Lula. As soon as I spied the new issue on Twitter I immediately wanted to hop on a train on London to in search of a copy. Unfortunately between exams and then illness this didn't happen so in Manchester yesterday I was absolutely delighted to spot its delightfully pink cover in the window of Magma Books in Oldham Street!
With select adverts near the beginning bi-annual publication Lula is otherwise pure, uninterrupted glorious content with many gorgeously shot and styled editorials. The written content is also an intriguing read from pieces such as The Magic Wardrobe by Ellen Burney to Tavi Gevinson's interview with style legend Iris Apfel. It's just the sort of satisfying magazine I want to keep on my bookshelf and treasure forever, the copies lovingly lined up and brought out whenever I feel like being transported to a more dreamy place.
The new issue also comes with a snazzy little Lula Play supplement in support of the Women's Sport and Fitness Association which campaigns to make physical activity an intrinsic part of everyday life. Though of course Lula does this in its own style and stays true to its whimsical nature with beautiful, vivacious photographs and features.
