Pink Hydrangeas

Pink Hydrangeas Pink Hydrangeas Pink Hydrangeas Pink Hydrangeas Pink Hydrangeas Pink Hydrangeas Pink Hydrangeas Pink Hydrangeas
I'm really excited about a little project I've got coming up for a blog post which will be revealed soon, but in my work towards it I took so many photos I couldn't resist sharing some beforehand as they're just so cheerful and I hope they'll brighten up what has become a very rainy evening here!
When faced with the problem of finding an image to use for the project my mind quickly jumped to my favourite flower in my favourite colour- the pink hydrangea. Hydrangeas are just so gorgeous and I love spotting them throughout Summer. Sadly they don't thrive very well in my home soil but the one in my front garden has performed a magic trick this year as the blooms which grew blue are now pink! Well the world can always do with a little more pink prettiness!
The spectacular hydrangeas in this post are actually the same ones I used as a backdrop for my outfit Amongst the Hydrangeas a couple of weeks back. I couldn't resist heading to the same spot in town to take some more photographs on one gloriously sunny day.

I think it's something to do with the soil as to what colour you get - they're so pretty.

Beautiful! I was directing a production of 'A midsummer night's dream' last week and we asked the orchestra to gather themselves foliage to decorate their music stands with and themselves and one of the oboists had picked a hydrangea head and attached it to her hair at the back! I thought of your previous post!
