I often find that what it takes to make an outfit from ordinary to one that makes me feel a little more sparkly and fabulous is a gorgeous piece of jewellery I love. However glum I feel, something that intrinsically pretty always has the power to give me a confidence boost!
I discovered Westwood Rocks handmade gemstone jewellery last year with their beautiful range of pearl bracelets and stud earrings in a rainbow of striking colours to mix and match. I was delighted when they recently got in touch to ask me if I'd be interested in collaborating with them on a review, so of course I said yes! I was immediately curious as to what would be picked out for me by Lauren Westwood, the founder of the brand, from their amazing range of jewellery and it's fair to say she got my taste perfectly!
The Margarita White Shell & Freshwater Pearl Ring is such a striking piece using classically elegant stones to create a modern impact. The actual metal construction of the ring is so aesthetically appealing in itself and I love that the cocktail ring has a cheeky cocktail name! It's a piece to brighten up any day, for an evening out with the girls, a wedding or even for a ball as I'm planning to wear it to.
One lovely thing about Westwood Rocks products is that they always come in such alluring packaging, so whether you're treating yourself or buying a gift they're a delight to open! Lifting the lid off a darling little box I uncovered three enchanting Princess bracelets named Rania, Kate and Sophie featuring sparkling green, blue and pink crystals respectively. There's a lovely juxtaposition between the freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals that feels fresh and extremely pretty! They look fantastic together or apart and I can see myself getting a lot of use out of them.
Lastly I received two strands of ribbon featuring charming pearls in the pink shades of Candy and Magenta. These are the most incredibly versatile pieces of jewellery! They feature pearls evenly spread out in the centre and then a gap to tie the ribbon as desired, finished with one more sweet pearl at each end. None of the pearls were inclined to budge so I'm really pleased with the craftsmanship. At first I wore them together as a necklace and then as bracelets, but they could also be used as anklets, creatively in the hair or even as decorations, the possibilities are endless which makes them great fun.
I feel that with Westwood Rocks you get a lot of value for your money. My Princess bracelets for example are £10 each and for this you get lovely customer service, high quality materials and a glamorous piece of jewellery that will look bewitching at any occasion. With a fabulous mix of sophistication and fun, the company can be found at their online store and also in their four stores in Godalming, Guildford, Farnham and Reigate in Surrey. The Westwood Rocks experience has a wonderfully luxurious feel to it and these pieces have already brought me a lot of joy- I'm so looking forward to wearing them again and again.
