Shimmer and Shine: LFW Shoe Style

There's no denying I'm a magpie when it comes to all things shiny. At London Fashion Week I couldn't help but keep being distracted by the most fabulous metallic footwear in shades of gold, silver, pewter or even a holographic rainbow, and from a subtle shimmer to almost mirror like reflections.
Putting on the glitz with a delightfully shiny pair of sandals is the perfect choice for eveningwear, but the metallic trend on a more casual style is also sure to add a little dazzle to your day, brightening up the simplest of outfits. Elegant ballet pumps make for a versatile investment. Another trend I noticed on the cobbles of London Fashion Week was for satisfyingly chunky shoes, from square heels to a thick sole, so why not add a little attitude with a glimmering take on the classic lace up Dr. Martens boots?
In my own personal shoe collection one of my favourite and also most versatile pairs has to be my beautiful three strap Melissa X Vivienne Westwood gold heels- they simply go with so many things and always look gorgeous. Do you share my weakness for all things shiny?
