The Glamour magazine editorial that I featured yesterday gave me plentiful ideas, so this evening I hopped onto Polyvore and got creating. I intended the sets to still keep elements from the original styling but bring in current season trends and pieces.
This first one is probably the most loyal to the original with the colour scheme of the dress, structured bag, pastel toned pump shoes and the feel of the coat.
I do like a nice snuggly cardigan; moving into a different colour palette.
This spring/summer there were much more muted tones on many catwalks, in fact blush has been a popular colour. This set makes me think of gardens and I adore the Lanvin hat.
Punchier colours which are more loyal to the editorial:
Here I started off knowing I wanted the cosy cardigan and had spotted those gorgeous shoes and then thought of the gorgeous dresses from Erdems current collection. The outfit is made of very muted tones but then the bag gives a vivid colour popg.
Ok those bunny ears might not be the most 'wearable' thing ever but the D&G dress is rather prettyful.
Mixing floral print with tweed: lots of textures here.
Now I have the strongest desire to organise an afternoon tea event. Are you looking forward to summer?

I am literally counting down the days till warmer weather arrives. Okay, I don't mind another week of snow, but NEXT week it will be warm and sunny, right?? And then Florrie and I can bust out our florals? Are you listening, weather gods?!
