Posture darlings!

When you look at the women on street style blogs there is rarely a hunched shoulder in sight- not only are they well dressed but many also exude a certain kind of confidence which makes them look better and helps them carry off the outfit. Due to my neck injury in 2007 I've become really aware of how much bad posture can hinder us and good posture is such a wonderful thing; preventing aches and pains both now and later and making us a better version of ourselves. It can be quite tiring when you're not used to it though and does take thinking about as we're so used to hunching over computer screens these days. I found the above youtube video from Posture Confidence a few months ago and really find it helps so I thought I'd share it with you- I even get my poor parents doing it, bless. My dad is by no means short and I guess over the years he's just got in a habit of hunching over so it's really helped him.

Right now I am trying to remain calm about the fact that first thing tomorrow morning my Fine Art will be handed in- a whole years art work never to be seen again till late Autumn. Oh I can't wait for the weekend! I shall hopefully be seeing Alice in Wonderland on Sunday. :)

I agree about good posture. I sit at my computer all the time and have started getting into the habit of slouching. I have started going to Pilates classes which also really helps- also incredibly relaxing, I feel like going to sleep afterwards.

great video - thanks:)

So true! I was always told, shoulders back, tummy tucked, bottom squeezed. Thanks for the reminder! :D
