I'd never been past Harvey Nichols in London (Knightbridge) before so I didn't know what to expect but I couldn't help but notice these marvelous window displays. They reminded me of what Mary Portas was trying to get across to Lightwater Homecare (which became The Fix It Factory) in a recent episode of 'Mary Queen of Shops'. I'm not quite sure what DIY has to do with Harvey Nichols but they certainly catch the eye. And in turn this will both create a buzz about the shop and also inspired curiosity, so I must say these very clever displays are a success. I particularly like the dress made out of clothes pegs and if you go down to the store there are further displays to be seen.
Oh and I ought to say, and this will make sense to anyone who's seen the episode in question; whilst these make fabulous and intriguing window displays I am quite content for them to remain there and not end up in an art gallery. :)
