Sparkles make the world go round

A little cheerful nail art:
A little while ago when I decided to paint my nails, my sequins were still out from craft work. There are hundreds of tiny silver stars from a beauty pack bought many years ago from the Christmas gift section at a pharmacy, with pink hearts to match, and though they are pretty they also have a habit of getting everywhere and so some remained on my desk. I decided to try something a little quirky with my nails; so I painted them in Barry M nail polish in Cyan Blue (294) and having waited for the two coats of colour to dry proceded to put a layer of clear varnish on top, one nail at a time, moving quickly to stick the silver stars on in no particular pattern. To make the surface smooth I put another layer of clear on top and I put a lonely looking heart on my left hand thumb nail.
I'm pretty pleased with the final outcome. It's not the most sophisticated look ever, and also not the most intricate, complicated nail art, but for those few days it made me smile when I looked at my fingers.

So much so that when one lot of nail varnish came off Florrie became very resourceful, if I do say so myself! xxx

I love doing that! But I used up all of my stars in Amy's birthday present :(
These look beautiful though! :D And you'll match the sky tonight, you star!
