Grace Kelly style continued

As promised, here are my purchases from the Grace Kelly: Style Icon exhibition at the V&A. I really recommend paying a visit as all the pieces are so beautiful!
There's a 12 postcard pack available and here are my favourites from it. My one complaint about the exhibition is that I wish there had been more postcards to by, or a book containing pictures of the items on display. However the postcards that there are are lovely. My favourites include shots of sunglasses and shoes. My top three garment wise are a floral print taffeta dress was designed for Grace Kelly by McCall patterns in 1955. Grace was wearing it at her first meeting with Prince Rainier of Monaco at the Cannes Film Festival.

Then there's the green Givenchy dress with jacket which is a rather sophisticated look. It was worn on an official visit to lunch at the White House with President John F Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy and also upon arriving in Ireland upon the invitation of Eamon de Valera in 1961! Well would have been a shame to only wear such beautiful garments once.

My very favourite is a Christian Dior dress; it is a delightful frock of pink polka dots and even nicer to actually see. It as worn on 19th May 1972 to the award ceremony for the Cannes Film Festival.

As I said before, the shop has been overrun with ladylike style and these Dents gloves are no exception. If I go back I pay have to get the candy pink version.

This ring actually has nothing to do with the collection as far as I can tell but it is very pretty and I couldn't resist giving in to it's floralness.

The exhibition runs till 26th September so make sure to pay a visit if you can get to London!
