As some of you may know from my Twitter, one of my guinea pigs, Chanel, has been very poorly for a couple of weeks. We have been taking her back and forth to the vets so she's been as comfortable as possible. She seemed to be getting better but had very much deteriorated today and was not at all happy so we took her back this evening. This time it was obvious to the vet that something was wrong that was growing very quickly all of a sudden and impossible to operate on without her passing a few days later in pain anyway. I'm extremely sad and distraught and miss her greatly already, but I know she's not suffering anymore. I took these pictures this morning between washing her and her antibiotics, having a snuggle in my arm and generally being a little cutie.

I am so sorry Florrie, I was really happy when we thought that she was on the mend :-(
At least you know that you did the right thing for her by taking her to the vets and doing all that you possibly could for her. I am so sorry that it ended this way.
