Amongst the Christmas rush it's so easy to forget just to go shopping and take in all the lovely clothes in store. Whether you want the best jeans or a little sparkle to dazzle in, if you're heading to the Bullring in the coming weeks you definitely need to make time to look around the shops as there are such delights to be found! There's something for the guys too as the menswear is looking rather dapper as well.
For years I was intirgued by the fabulous fashion showcase which is Style Birmingham Live and had to keep missing it because of work, but not this year! I was really happy to be invited to see The Show: Enchanted at the Bullring, as hosted by Lydia Bright.
The etheral styling very much reminded me of Luella's eerie AW08 collection and the show was such a fantastical spectacle. Playing on the fairytale theme and rich in textures, Autumn/Winter's most decadent trends were showcased, from Baroque embellishment, Gothic glamour and shimmering sequins to lusciously layered tailored looks. Sparkly inspiration is also to be found in the form of the incredible make up put together my Illasmasqua at Selfridges, perfectly complementing the regal feel of the clothes.
Enchanted was a dramatic and entrancing show and as each look emerged I could feel my wishlist growing. The pieces have such a high end feel, and are sure to make you feel fabulous, but without the matching price tag, leaving me incredibly impressed with the high street this season. Race you to the shops?
