Today marks four years of blogging here at Intrinsically Florrie, how time has flown! I started this blog at a time when I was barely able to concentrate at my laptop for half an hour a day, sitting in bed recovering from a head injury, and I never imagined all the wonderful things it would bring me, from lovely friends to amazing opportunities. Blogging's something that's become such a huge part of my world and I'll confess it's hard to imagine life without it. I really appreciate my readers and your comments always brighten up my day! Naturally, in honour of the occasion an adorable Hello Kitty balloon and pretty celebration cake were required! This year's cake featured a sweet little ladybird from Marks and Spencer.
It has been wonderfully sunny, and I brought out a gorgeous new pair of Irregular Choice shoes, which are so wonderfully cheerful in colour, with embroidered details and scalloped edges that are just so pretty alongside the stunning acetate heel!

There seemed to be a pink Hello Kitty theme running through my lovely presents- which I can't say I objected too! I loved the adorable design of this year's Hello Kitty Christmas crackers and cards as the colours are just so pretty and Kitty looks cuter than ever.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I've been feeling really rotten with a bug and chest infection so mine was quite quiet but lovely all the same, spending quality time with family.

Let's face it, there was very little chance of me choosing anything other than a Hello Kitty design for my new calender, but let that not detract from how ridiculously pretty the 2013 design is! This year's sports theme didn't really do it for me (however cute Hello Kitty still managed to look whilst weightlifting!) but the new one's a real winner.
It's in pink and lavender for a start and it also features one of my favourite Hello Kitty themes- ballet. Then there are teeny flowers, tiaras and plenty of fabulous eyeshadow- what's not to love?
I've spied this slim style calender, published by Danilo, at both Calender Club and Clintons and am looking forward to it brightening up my wall all through the year.

Cute Overload: Zatchels X Hello Kitty

A little while ago I must confess to letting out a teeny squeal of glee upon finding an invitation to the launch of a Zatchels X Hello Kitty collaboration in my inbox. Zatchels bags are so gorgeous and of course I'm always partial to a little Hello Kitty cuteness so I was incredibly excited to discover the delights in store, but sadly I had to wait when my trip to London went awry- boo!
Born in London on 1st November 1974, when her image first appeared on a little coin purse, Sanrio's now iconic globetrotting girl Hello Kitty is renowned for her ever evolving fashion style, most often topped off with her adorable signature bow.
The Zatchels collaboration combines classic heritage and craftsmanship combined with a kawaii dose of Hello Kitty's cheerful demeanour I just can't help but smile seeing her peeping over a polka dot bow and I'm rather besotted with the Hello Kitty Town Satchel in rainbow pastels, which just might have to be my favourite piece from the collections!
This rather gorgeous collaboration was definitely worth the wait and I'm happy to announce is on sale now. Prices range from £55 to £130 for the largest satchel, with five different designs running over three styles of bag: the barrel, the saddle and of course the classic satchel.
So which one's your favourite?

I am Hello Kitty: the Chubby Bunny Bow

I don't know why it's taken me so long to purchase an adorable I am Chubby Bunny Hello Kitty bow! Hello Kitty's bow is so iconic and intrinsic to her cute look. She'll sometimes swap to flowers or some fashion fad but she always returns to her faithful bow, worn over the left side of her head. As a huge fan of both Hello Kitty and kawaii hair accessories of course it was love the moment I laid eyes on one of these bows on the blog Gala Darling.
The Hello Kitty plush which started it all I spied her in a local alternative fashion boutique and knowing this my mum kindly got her me as the most wonderful surprise Christmas present when I was 14. I was so incredibly happy to receive her and I like to cheekily point out to my lovely mum that she started the madness whenever she wonders why I need to buy any more!
This Chubby Bunny bow is so satisfyingly squishy and oversized for an extremely fun look. The bow was sent over from America in a sturdy box so it didn't get squashed and the note was such a lovely touch. I love Hello Kitty because she makes me smile and adds a little joy to my day, and likewise my shiny new bow does too.

Pink and lavender are my two all time favourite colours to put together, they just make me so happy! This post full of pretty things is inspired by a new acquisition this week. I spotted one of my Gothic Lolita Wigs wishlist items brand new on a lolita sales page, which I was extremely happy about as I had been disappointed just days earlier to find it had sold out. It's a pink and lavender split and I can't wait to wear it! I've already got many outfit ideas in my head and am planning to wear it to the MCM Expo Manchester event next month, which I'm really looking forward to.
What colours make you happy?

Mint Ice Cream: A Spring/Summer Moodboard

♥ Chocomint two way bow
♥ Primark socks
♥ A much loved childhood toy by the name of Millie

♥ Macaron bear from a £1 capsule machine

I've realised that mint has quickly become one of the most prominent colours in my wardrobe. Between my Oasis winter coat, yummy Tesco jacket and other recent acquisitions there's even more mint amongst the photos than pink! I think my love of the pretty pastel colour started to grow at one of my first lolita fashion meets where a girl wore a beautiful pink and mint split wig. Luckily for me there's lots of lovely mint on the high street right now and it works perfectly with other candy shades I already own such as lavender, blue and of course pink.

A Hello Kitty Princess

Once upon a time in a kawaii land far, far away there lived a beautiful princess named Hello Kitty...
One of my absolute favourite places to shop for Hello Kitty cuteness is Harrods in London. Not only do they have the most amazing and reasonably priced selection of goodies in the toy section but they also have their own exclusive Hello Kitty ♥ Harrods range from cute pens to adult sized handbags and t-shirts! Every so often I head to the Harrods website and type Hello Kitty in the search box to see what's new and I literally squealed a little upon spotting their new princess themed range!
I immediately fell for this Kitty Princess with her faithful canine companion by her side in matching tiara. With a lack of opportunities to head to the store itself I decided to order her online and she arrived today! I hadn't realised that the puppy was actually attached to Kitty but I don't want to separate the pair joined by thread on her paw. She also comes in a smaller size without a doggie too. I really love the textures in her dress and the tiara is a really lovely touch. She's just so pretty and really brightened up my day so I hope she's made you smile too.
