Many thanks to Tracy of The Tote Trove for this lovely award. It's always a great delight to receive blog awards, and I must confess that during exams I received some which I have neglected so I will get around to those. Here are the rules of this one:

Giving. Finding the perfect thing for someone is one of my great delights in life. Though it is always wonderful to recieve of course.
What was the last eyeshadow you used?
I bought a dark brown Natural Collection one a while ago because I was drawn to the matte texture, then I went and bought some more and they're my new eye make up staples.
What's your favorite day of the week?
It used to be Tuesday because of TV shows and weekly magazines. Now? I don't really know.
Are your nails painted right now?
No, I'm trying to let them recover at the moment. It's hard to keep nice nails when you're an artist!

Now you've seen my answers you probably understand the logic behind pictures- I tried to include three of them! The photographs weren't an essential to the award or anything I just felt like including them.
Little Dior the guinea pig here is such a cutie, but a few weeks ago she was very poorly indeed, as some of you know from my Facebook and Twitter accounts. She's doing a lot better now, has put on some weight and is spending some time socialising with the others during being on the lawn and hugs with me. She's just as adorable as ever.

Writers block

I am feeling much better today- not perfect but the difference feels amazing.
I was given this ever so lovely award by Orchid Style- thanks so much honey!

So I have to tell you all ten things about me and then pass the award on to ten other bloggers.

1) I think that though the initial wave of relief to help Haiti may be over we still need to continue our support. It will take such a long time for the community to recover.
2) I used to want to work in the Amazon rain forest, and it's still special to me.
3) I have a pot of pink fluffy pens from over the years.
4) My favourite operas are Mozart's 'The Magic Flute' and Smetana's 'The Bartered Bride', I've seen the first live twice but have only heard the overture of the latter in concert.
6) My favourite ballets are La Fille Mal Garde (it always makes me smile) and then The Sleeping Beauty and Coppelia, though I've only seen the first two on stage.
7) I can be a little cautious verging on indecisive.
8) But I know I am besotted with Erdem's ss10 collection.
9) I'm really looking forward to visiting London again later this month
10) I feel the need to visit H&M and go on a floral fifties housewive style spree with the giftcard someone kindly gave me for my birthday. There was so much I loved last time I was instore.

10) And at the moment I very much enjoy watching Hercule Poirot mysteries in the afternoon.

OK, so 7 things about myself (hopefully which I haven't put somewhere before!)
1. My natural hair colour seems to be getting darker and darker so after January Pinkness I think I'm going to go less blonde, I loved it being naturally golden blonde but now there are sections verging on black this doesn't seem the way to go.
2. I used to be very, very obsessed with the movie 'The Phantom of the Opera'. Seriously. I bought the DVD just before I was ill off school for a couple of weeks and sometimes watched it three times a day- always two. I know every single note, and can also play a fair bit on piano and flute. Gotta love that high E. I hate to think what would have happened if I'd discovered it while it was still in the cinema!
3. On the subject of film obsessions, when I was very little indeed I loved Disney's Sleeping Beauty and wore the video tape out.
4. I like wearing my dad's jumpers when it gets cold- he's 6ft 4&1/2 so they're all big and snuggly, the guinea pigs like them too!
5. I have a sister who is in her fourth year at medical school.
6. When I'm on my laptop, as I am now, I have a sense of nostalgia, for I was very behind in acquiring internet access and used to go on my Granny's laptop when I visited. She was such a very lovely, kind lady.
7. I've been on holiday to Llandudno in Wales more times than I would like to say, but my mum really loves it and would like to actually move there. In 2010 I am definitely going to get to Paris!

Oh my, a second award! =D

I have been rather subdued the last few days, but now the reason why (a hospital trip) has passed and I promise to be much more jolly. Well I hope I shall still be when I get the results! On to more pleasant things:

6. I should be doing my A levels, but sadly missed a lot of school last year and have started my AS levels again- but actually doing different subjects and I'm really loving my new college!
7. I managed to get through the entire school system without a single detention. Quite a feat as at my second high school prefects detentions were very easy to acquire. But I was terrified of getting one despite them being the norm. I am most definitely a perfectionist.
8. I have the most wonderful parents I could wish for.
9. I am going to be 18 in January- an actual adult. Scary stuff.
10. I am going to be planting tulips soon so that my front garden will be ever so pretty come spring time- my favourite season. And then I can take lots of photos to show you. =D

I'm giving the award to blogs that are very personal, not just posting fashion news. In Fashion & Textiles A Level it's really important to have 'primary research' that is yours alone and no one else could have. These bloggers use a lot of their own photos, concentrate on their own outfits, or just write with a very personal and open view about their opinions and experiences. Again I'm wanting to include more, time to come up with a Florrie award that I can give to any number of people? But anyway, that's how I'm approaching distributing this one.

Ok a few things:
The hardest ones just to do one word for were my mother and father. So let's stretch it to three, no four :P Mum: Wonderful, loving, generous, selfless. Dad; kind, generous, intelligent, talented, OK no words are enough.
My best friend: The ever so lovely Emma is my 'sterotype' (that's not to say she's not wonderful) best friend. We like the same things, (florals, Jane Austen..) and have similar high street shopping habits. But my parents have been there for me through all kinds of tough things through the years, I love them ever so very much and am so grateful to them. I'm blessed with how close I am to them. :) See, one word is search a struggle!!
My pets: They make me laugh. So much. Little Chanel, Dior and Vuitton. Absolutely mad, and undeniable cute. Currently eatting their way out of a cardboard box in my room while their cage is cleaned.
