Tatton Deer

There were so many lovely deer at Tatton Park, and they actually let me come very close. I think putting all the photographs of them in one post might be a tad overwhelming so I'm separating them up. =)
Peek-a-boo. Yes we can still see you.

Tatton apple

I know they grown fruit at Tatton, but why the unexplained presence of apples in the pond?

Purple Gown

This is one of my favourite dresses ever, if not the one. This fabulous creation is part of the V&A's collection.
There's something about it I just love. A dress from Elie Saab Couture's aw08 collection reminds me of it greatly, the skirt just has the same feel.

I also saw a lovely dress in the mansion at Tatton Park today I wish I could show you. Unfortunately photography was not allowed and there wasn't a postcard. It was black- netting with the most gorgeous peachy-pink flowers embroidered on top, and had a sumptuous green frill at the bottom. Divine.

Tatton

I had a lovely time at Tatton Park today. I found this lovely little mirror (pictured above) in the gift shop, I had actually been wanting one and I couldn't resist this adorable design. I also bought 'The Seventies in Pictures', this is one of a darling little set of books of which I already own the 40s, 50s and 60s. Where the rest of the century is I'm not quite sure, but they are very informative with some great photos.
I also acquired this beautiful rose today, when I happened to be there as a kind gardener snipped it off my accident. I threaded it through my mum's woven bag.

I finally got round to subsricing to Grazia a little while ago and my first issue came today which also makes me happy. =D

Bath Fashion Museum

For me the highlight of the to Bath was visiting the Fashion Museum at the Assembly Rooms. http://www.museumofcostume.co.uk/ I'd been wanting to visit for quite some time.
Resisting the wonderful array of fashion books in the shop, I came out with this guide and a mighty stack of postcards. The cover image is just gorgeous.
