Shoesday: Bright and Beautiful

The sun is shining and a pair of colourful shoes are the perfect way to guarantee you a pair of happy feet and brighten up dull grey pavements. Whether they're complementing an already vibrant Summer outfit or cheering up a pair of simple jeans, a bright and beautiful footwear choice can really make your outfit pop and spread a little sunshine.
When it comes to flat shoes there are so many really adorable ballerina pumps around in a multitude of gorgeous shades, from a Barbie-esque acid pink to zingy yellow or a rich jade green. Le Temps des Cerises even have a gorgeous pair of trainers featuring a dreamy tie dye mix of lavender, mint and aqua tones; whilst Irregular Choice offer their signature quirky mix of fabrics and patterns in their fabulous red toned polka dot and floral print Flick Flack heels.
There's a whole rainbow of colours to choose from, but which shoe would you pick to brighten up your day?

Shoesday: Shimmer and Shine

Friday is the new Shoesday... well at least for this week as time just flew by on a lovely day with friends and I got home a lot later than planned on Tuesday! To my mind though, there is never a bad day to be looking at dreamy shoes. Christopher Bailey's stunning SS13 Burberry Prosum show twinkled with a rainbow of metallic colours which immediately caught my eye and I love the infiltration of all things shiny into glamorous daywear this season, from the classic trenchcoat to shimmering acccessories.
From the luxurious tones of gold, silver and bronze to bright and beautiful jewel tones, this magpie loves a pretty metallic and shoes are the perfect way to inject a little shine into your wardrobe. Mel offers a opulent take on the jelly beach shoe and metallic flat shoes, whether a dainty ballet flat or a more androgynous brogue, make for a fun look. Then in the evening statement stilettos make for a quirky twist on cocktail attire.
The gorgeous emerald green shade of Moony Mood's shiny flat has certainly caught my eye, but which shoe is your favourite?

1. Dyonne, Friis & Company
2. Queen, C.Petula
3. Lois, Terry de Havilland

4. Fresh III, Mel
5. Green Ballerinas, Moony Mood
6. 318307, McQ by Alexander McQueen

7. Pilou, Petite Mendigote
8. Folca, Fru.it

Shoesday: Nautical But Nice

The espadrille has long been a classic Summer companion throughout the decades, offering cosy and comforting chic on many a holiday caper and seaside stroll. With the arrival of Summer and its marvellous rays of warming sunshine I'm in the mood for gorgeous nautical shoes, inspiring many a daydream of sailing away on a glorious adventure, exploring exotic seas for treasure or simply relaxing over calm waters under a beautiful blue sky.
Red, white and blue are of course the traditional and iconic marine colours- a timelessly cheerful colour palette. Spots and stripes are always sweet, and woven fibres evoke the hardy feeling of rope. Wedges are a Summer staple, whilst not quite so practical stiletto heels have a glamorous vintage feel, which playful Brazilian brand Cristofoli does fabulously well. Pack a pair in your suitcase and they're perfect for dressing both up and down, whether you style your nautical footwear with a pretty white skater dress or add classic Breton stripes and anchor jewelley for an incredibly fun maritime look.
All these nautical beauties are rather adorable, but which style is your favourite?
