High Street Hits: Cinderella Shoes

Harrods have gone mad for Disney princesses at present with festive window displays featuring regal interpretations of these iconic muses  from celebrated fashion houses such as Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa, Valentino and Elie Saab.
In store they've also opened a dreamy Cinderella Slipper Salon; whether you have big or little feet why not see if the shoe fits for size! We can't let the children have all the fun can we? It looks quite the beautiful experience and I so wish I'd had the time to go and explore instead of being poorly this month. What's more, the stunning shoes range from £24.95 to £34.95 making them a rather affordable piece of magic.
I was also besotted with Miu Miu's gorgeous glitter shoes the moment they burst onto the scene in AW11. The beautifully sculpted heel turned timelessly pretty sparkle into a power piece. I wasn't the only fan and ever since I've loved the way all things sparkly have infiltrated the high street. So go out and create your own fairytale, just try not to lose a shoe on the way home... High Street Hits: Bootie Call

My little feet have been rather chilly this week and I've been craving something a little warmer than my usual footwear. I have a bit of an aesthetic weakness for short boots, especially perhaps classic lace up Victorian influenced styles. Whilst some of these ankle boots might be a teensy bit more practical than others they're all rather gorgeous and would be a joy to wear to brighten up Autumnal outfits.  Winter Ankle Boots

True Blue

Dune Teenage Cancer Trust True Blue Collaboration
How completely and utterly gorgeous is the vivid cobalt blue shade of these shoes and handbag? I do rather love the tactile contrast between the lush suede and the gold caps so I couldn't resist sharing them with you. Not only that but you can make your feet happy and also support a fantastic cause at the same time- yay!
For the sixth year Dune is delighted to collaborate with the Teenage Cancer Trust, producing this beautiful True Blue limited edition set of court shoes and a slick envelope clutch, retailing at £135. £50 from each sale will be donated to the absolutely amazing work of the Teenage Cancer Trust; since 1990 they have offered vital support to young people going through what can be such an incredibly scary time. You can find out more about the fantastic charity here.
The set will be available from all Dune stores and online at dune.co.uk from 10th November.

The Dune Group really did an amazing job of their SS12 press day. The Dune shoes were in a little botanical paradise while the Bertie section had the comforting feel of the homely garden shed. I walked into a peaceful Pied a Terre area lit by tea lights and with& the feel of a classic garden with magic interwoven. Secrets and hidden treasures were to be found round corners. It felt like that a fairy could suddenly spring up from behind a shoe at any moment. Oh and there was a huge ammonite, and I kind of have a big thing about ammonite fossils!
Taking a look at the trends we have: Cinemagraphic with many a gorgeous stiletto nodding to the classic femininity of the 50s, Cubism with satisfyingly chunky block shapes inspired by the architecture of Miami and the Gold Coast and Natural Desert exploring earthy colours with intriguing contrasting textures such as raw-edged canvas and a basket weave.

The lovely people at the Dune Group definitely deserve major brownie points for their spectacular SS12 press day! With a theme of Secret Garden Party I was definitely intrigued and I certainly wasn't disappointed to find a little green paradise in the centre of London. Bertie and Pied a Terre also showcased on the day with their own unique areas, which I can't wait to show you as well. Even the lookbooks and the CDs within them were beautifully floral! So as you can imagine I was an extremely happy bunny and didn't really want to leave!
Upon laying eyes on the Dune collection I immediately spotted two of my hot colours from London Fashion Week: orange and turquoise, which are both perfect for the warm rays sunshine I'm dreaming of right now. I especially loved the scallopped edge details and the update on the classic patent court shoe for the new season. I also spied pretty pink glitter and heavy beading embellishment to dazzle at evening events as well as gorgeous nautically influenced spots, stripes and even hearts.
Themes for the collection include Hollywood Hills featuring plenty of good old-fashioned glamour, Tribal Mischief which is perfect for the upcoming season with all its exotic influences and Botanical Brights which features lots of wonderfully vibrant, colourful and oversized florals.
What would you love to be stepping out in these coming Summer months?
