Shoesday: Lola Ramona

When it comes to footwear, I definitely have a weakness for elegant court shoes, and Lola Ramona certainly fits the bill with gorgeous shoes which combine timeless glamour with a cheeky sense of fun. The brand was founded in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2006, with a mission to help us all find our "inner shoe diva".
I absolutely adore my Elsie Polka court shoes. Their red and pink colour combination is really vibrant and the sweet bow finishes the look off perfectly. Even the lining is adorable with its polka dot white spots. What's more, as well as looking fabulous, they're also an incredibly comfortable pair of shoes which are wonderfully constructed.
Contrasting tones of black, white and red paired with geometric stripes and even a fabulous tile pattern make a striking statement; meanwhile purples and candy pinks paired with pretty scalloped edges and heart motifs are oh so feminine. There are styles like the the Angie Wiza sandal which combine both the chunky and the girlish for a spectacular result, whilst the Elsie Lips court shoes make an eye catching play on classic red lipstick.

Shoesday: Fabulous Flats

There's no denying that the humble flat shoe is very much an item of practicality, but that's no reason why it should not to be fabulous! Even at London Fashion Week when queuing for shows on the last hectic day I spied many a cosy flat shoe giving weary fashion feet a welcome rest. What's more they are perfect for heading on exciting adventures where high heels just can't tread- many apologies Victoria Beckham!
From relaxing countryside strolls to busy days exploring the city or even countries far away on exciting holidays, a lovely pair of flat shoes will see you far- keeping your feet both happy and looking good. I'm loving Rocket Dog's whimsical and ever so cheerful floral motifs, which remind me of hazy childhood afternoons spent earnestly making daisy chains, the longer the better; and also Melissa's fantastically sparkly glitter confections, which can add a little razzle dazzle to an every day outfit or complete a stunning look for a sparkly evening out.

Shoesday: Summer Sandals

What is this- some actual lovely warm weather? It makes a wonderful change to feel the warmth of the sun and not to have to lug a cumbersome brolly round- I think it might even be time to dig those fabulous, but sadly long neglected, sandals out and maybe buy some cheerful new ones! From pretty pastels to bright jewel tones, and from classically elegant styles to statement bows, the drier months offer the chance to go for something a little frivolous and forget about the elements for a while. Lola Ramona in particular are offering some wonderfully fun and fancy footwear- whether you're relaxing in a city park or strolling along a seaside promenade, scrumptious ice cream in hand.
I have decided to turn Tuesday into Shoesday, as who doesn't love daydreaming about gorgeous shoes? I'm also determined to have more fun with my own shoe collection instead of returning to the same faithful few pairs, however lovely they are, out of habit.

A Spring in Your Step

Shoes are a wonderful way to add a little fun to your outfit. The approaching Summer months offer the perfect chance to head off on an elegant adventure in a fabulous pair of court shoes, or you could simply brighten up your work look with some fabulous footwear which puts a spring in your step and a smile on your face.
From shiny patent to matte suede, there are so many cheerful colours around at the moment as well as lots of really fun details. Polka dots are classic and ever so cute, meanwhile sweet bows turn oversized for impact and daisies and cherries are adorable. Or if you're feeling incredibly sweet you could even have cupcakes on your shoes! My favourite brand for Summer shoes has to be Melissa, combining a nostalgic love of jelly shoes with sophistication to create gorgeous shoes, and I especially love the brand's Vivienne Westwood collaborations.
