Autumn is here, and though I can't pretend I like the chill in the air I must confess my new Winter coat is so lovely I'm actually looking forward to bringing it out in the coming weeks! Festival Fancies

Festival season is upon us and Coachella-goers have already treated us to some fabulous street style. Festivals are the perfect opportunity to have fun with trends from romantic florals to vibrant citrus shades and  flashes of neon. Personally I'm loving the surge of 90s revival clothes as they're just so cheerful and remind me how much I loved my childhood wardrobe!
This last week has been gloriously sunny but let's not forget the great British weather and the very high chances of the fields soon turning into a sticky situation ankle deep in mud! High Street Hits: Swinging Towards Spring

I'm daydreaming of swimming costumes and sunny beaches on lazy Summer afternoons. OK, OK, there's snow on the ground outside, but the new Spring Fashion collections are all just so pretty I can't help but wish for sunnier times!
It might be a while yet until it's time to grab a glamorous sunhat and head to Cannes but there are some lovely transitional pieces around to layer up and wear through both the chillier and warmer months. High Street Hits: Let It Shine

Whilst the festive season is a wonderful time for sparkle I'm glad to see one shiny trend making its way into the warmer months.
Burberry Prosum's SS13 collection has me swooning as it takes the classic trenchcoat and gives it a high-shine metallic twist in vivid jewel tones of pink, bronze, green, purple and blue as well as the classic gold, and silver. Then little Romeo Beckham looks so dapper with his adorable winning smile whilst showcasing the metallic trend in Burberry's new ad campaign.
All in all it's a trend that suits this full-time magpie very well. There are some smart sales buys to be made now with cheerful pieces which will transition through the months and still look fabulous in the Summer sunshine.

Jack Frost has been to town and it's time to get the gloves out- boo! However, this does mean the perfect justification for a fabulous new coat and I love picking one which will brighten up the coldest of Winter days.

Frosted Fairy Tale

I was trotting between London press days yesterday when, being the magpie I am, I couldn't help but be drawn to this stunning display in the windows of Miss Selfridge Oxford Street. They held a dream world like something out of a frosted Winter fairy tale.
There was plenty of decadent sparkling embellishment: from a sequined jacket to extravagant glittering necklaces, all centred around a rotating frock fit for any princess. I love the romantic colour palette and the attention to detail is exquisite. These dresses would be absolutely divine for making a feminine statement this coming party season and I hope next time I'm passing through I'll have time to properly pursue the rails of delights.

High Street Hits: Bunny Bananza

I really love spotting wild bunnies, and I'm lucky to live near an area where you can often spy them basking in the sun on a Summer's evening. However, though I love rabbits all year round they're most commonly associated with Spring as far as fashion is concerned. As much as I love Spring pastels bunnies are also a rather adorable motif for the colder months too, currently seen in a more natural, muted colour palette. About this time last year I spotted a really cute H! By Henry Holland bunny t-shirt in Debenhams and fell in love with it. Likewise the exact same thing has happened again this year, but this time featuring a bunny wrapped up all cosy and warm in a scarf.
