One of the first things to catch my eye at the Clothing at Tesco AW12 press day was an absolutely adorable penguin jumper- it's such a cute take on the Christmas classic, with polar bear and reindeer versions too. Then there was the knitwear featuring yet cuter animals on hats and gloves to put a huge smile on my face. The range definitely excelled in accessories and back home I found so many lovely scarves and gloves on the Clothing at Tesco website to keep myself cosy this Winter.
Then there were the rails of sparkling, but easy to care for, sequin pieces- perfect for dazzling in this coming party season. For a more subtle dose of shimmer choose a snuggly jumper with a sweet sequin Peter Pan collar.
I was treated to an incredible pair of falsies at the Eyelure lash bar. False eyelashes are something I've only recently discovered so I decided to go all out with a Katy Perry collaboration pair, featuring a double row of lashes and making quite the statement eye!
Other favourites included swishy but elegant lace prom dresses, statement cameo jewellery and some rather gorgeous bags. I love how this collection caters so wonderfully to the festive season from creature comforts to a little glamorous glitz to make you feel fabulous.

High Street Hits: Summer to Autumn Florals

It may feel like we're lucky to be getting even a little sunshine thanks to the good old British weather and I really don't want to be wishing Summer away, but the shops are filling up with the most gorgeous Autumn/Winter clothes! I'm a firm believer that florals are not just for Summer so I'm always curious to see how they will be worked into the collections for the chillier months. Here are some richly warm-toned florals I've spied on the high street which will look gorgeous in the rays of the sun but also carry through to the crisp Autumnal months.

Fitting Room Dilemma Solved!

Clothing at Tesco Florence and Fred

I managed to gain a furry feline accessory in the creation of these outfit photos, who I must say was really sweet, but liked being stroked upside down!
If the outfit seems familiar it's because you lovely readers picked it in my Florence + Fred Fitting Room Dilemma to mark the launch of Clothing at Tesco's fun Fitting Room app. The look has changed slightly in that the previous black blazer sold out in my size but I then got to choose this fabulous green number instead.
I'm really pleased with how the clothes turned out, so thank you to both you and Clothing at Tesco. The Fitting Room definitely gave a fantastic indicator of how things would look on and as a quite tall person means I don't have to worry about how teeny skirts may suddenly appear in real life. The fun of the Fitting Room is that you can easily try lots of different styles. Indeed this dress isn't what I'd have normally picked up and taken to a physical changing room, yet I'm really happy to have discovered a new style. It's elegant and versatile but also a joy to twirl in.
I decided to play with the layering by removing the belt from the dress and placing it over the jacket and I love the cheerful colour pop against the green. I also added in my own tights, star clip and headband. The cardigan also differs a little from my usual style in the print and I'm looking forward to mixing this snuggly item up with other things I own and doing some pattern mixing. The quality of these pieces is really nice for the value- just look at the little embossed detail on the cardigan buttons!
Now I'm going to share the fun by tagging the lovely Sarah of essbeevee who I adore the style of! I'm really looking forward to see what outfits she creates in the Fitting Room and voting for my favourite.
What do you think of the look in real life?

A Package Full of Joy: F&F

LifeStyled, the Clothing at Tesco blog, is a really lovely site to read. I was casually doing so on 14th February when I came across a really cute blog post Valentine’s Clothing at Tesco loves… Bloggers Take Over! when what did I spot but my name?

It was an absolutely wonderful surprise from Pearl and what she said actually made me well up. She also chose the perfect item for me in those adorable Hello Kitty bow earrings! Soon, as I returned home from London Fashion Week, I found a beautiful floral box full of treats in not only the earrings but a Barbara Daly lipstick and eye liner polish, which was a lovely experience to open and really brightened up my day with prettiness. Thanks so much to both Clothing at Tesco and Pearl for making my day in such an excessively lovely way.

A sunny SS12 from F&F Clothing at Tesco

As bloggers arrived at Clothing at Tesco's Florence & Fred SS12 event we were given a really pretty little heart to tie on to our favourite item later in the evening, which was a really cute way of getting feedback.
As I walked in I found my feet immediately carrying me towards the two dresses in the first picture. The whimsical ivory lace one would be perfect for floating round the countryside and the second is so very elegant in an unusual but ladylike floral print. Then in the second picture we have a frock which I spotted very near the end but also stole my heart. It was a tough decision, but I decided on the the pastel toned 50s inspired floral frock, wouldn't it be perfect for a summertime event?
These weren't the only gems of the collection though so let's look at the other treats in store at Tesco for SS12...

After getting over the initial jolt of seeing the beautiful dresses which I started the post with I couldn't help but head to a delightful rack of soft pastel tones.
The romantic selection is inspired by The Great Gatsby and the 20s and 30s. It's a delicate dream in peaches and cream with a good helping of lovely lace. The dragonfly print cardigan was a very pretty piece, as well as the bow print blouse with a sweet double collar detail. All one needs is a picnic basket and lawn for the perfect summer scene.
The vintage vibe continues to swimwear with the most fabulous floral swimming caps. In contrast to the pastels we have more lovely florals but sitting as colour pops on a base of darker colours such as black and navy.
Then in contrast sat some more modern graphic prints and touches of the tribal trend. The collection moves into vibrant and zingy brights. From stripes to a continuation of the floral theme, the colours scream cheerfulness and make me yearn yet more for the rays of the sun. It's well known I'm not a jeans person, but there's something about dying them in bright colours which is just so appealing to me.
Clothing at Tesco has been really impressing me with its designs recently and it looks like things are only getting better with SS12. There were so many clothes I'd wear in a heartbeat and standards of quality were great too. I'll definitely be heading to my local aisles for an affordable fashion fix come spring with pieces I know I can wear again and again whilst showing off new season trends.

I had a really lovely evening at the Florence & Fred event and not just because of the gorgeous clothes. It's always lovely to have a big blogger get together and we were very well looked after. As well as the treat of my beautiful WAH Nails glitter and rose manicure, festive Christmas crackers were soon spied under a tree. Having soon cracked them open we discovered pretty little rings inside as well as classic paper party hats.
The F&F photobooth was great fun to play in and have a silly time. I think it's fair to say that the children's Christmas costume range was a great success! I took a scrumptious vanilla cupcake for company on the way home and bid farewell to the upcoming summer's delights which I am very, very excited for.
