A new dress, and it's floral too
Any new wardrobe edition is exciting in it's own way, with promises of future outfit opportunities. When I get a new floral I immediately start thinking about the prints I can mix it with!
I have a lovely new dress courtesy of Blue Inc, (here's a link to the dress itself) everything about it is just so pretty and feminine.

Liverpool continured: Because what would a day trip be without shopping.
So on my trip to Liverpool yesterday despite several epic mishaps involving going in completely the wrong direction I actually managed to get some decent shopping done!
I had a little spree in Miss Selfridge including the above gingham earring which was part of a set and the ring below. I'm cautious to say the least with highstreet jewellery but Miss Selfridge is a lot better than most and I actually dare to buy metal rings there.
And I couldn't really argue with the prices either for a grand total of £21 I bought: a full price soft pink headband I had been eyeing up online and the most beautiful pair of earrings with little flowers, ladybirds and butterflies on which remind me of the Dior jewellery range, a £1 studded headband, and the rest was half price including the gingham earrings, gingham flower brooch and rose ring.
It was a very good day for my headband collection. My very first buy of the day was this pink one from H by Henry Holland at Debenhams. The collection has some lovely dresses in it and I was tempted by some tiedye leggings and floral trainers but then I realised that the leggings colours just didn't go with my wardrobe and I normally opt out of trainers at all possible costs.
Well it does seem that I have broken my eerie going to major cities and coming back empty handed phase- next it's Birmingham. Mmmm, Selfridges.

Luckily H&M stepped in here with there floral flats. They're hardly going to last for years and years but I shall have fun in them this summer. The plaited belt is both pretty and practical.
So at this point I had barely spent anything considering the bargains at Miss Selfridge and the presence of a H&M gift card left over from my birthday, but then at the very end of the day with twenty minutes or so till closing time I got to the handbag section of John Lewis.

DIY bunny ears
So bunnies have been taking over the fashion world lately, particularly headwear wise with a little help from Louis Vuitton.
I was inspired by my new Hello Kitty doll to make some bunny ears all my own for Easter! So when I was shopping for art materials yesterday I picked out some felt and a basic headband. The fabric in the background is just for show. :)
So first I cut out two ear shapes in thin card and stuck them onto the cream felt.
And while that was drying I moved onto the headband base, which was a little too big to fit one piece of felt on so there's a join but I glued the edges underneath for neatness. This takes a little patience as you need to make sure it stays down before you move onto the next bit and the fabric wanted to curl back to being flat.
So after a sensibly amount of time I cut round the ears and flipped them over to stick on some more felt.
I must admit that I improvised the shapes of the pink sections but you could make them more in the shape of the cream bit, anyway I stuck them on next.
Now sticking the ears to the headband takes a lot of patience indeed as you need to hold them in place while the glue dries to make sure they stay upright. I wasn't sure if the first one was working or not so I glued an extra flap of felt on aswell to help it remain upright. When the glue was about half dry I moved onto the second ear this time joining the relavent part of the flap onto the ear first for ease. After a small while I places the headband down but put an object beneath each ear to keep them at the right level compared to the headband.

Down the rabbit hole
I do love a bunny motif so the current Alice in Wonderland trend somewhat appeals to me. Fashion inspiration wise I love the talking/singing flowers from the Disney animated version- I wonder if they're in the new Burton version, does anyone know?
Modern Alice with some help from Looklet- note that the slightly out of place necklace was inspired by the fish who dance round in a circle, at least I had better be talking about the right film as I did used to have quite a stack of Disney videos when I was little!

Pink hair- oh yes.
Following on from yesterday, I thought I'd share my inspiration of the lovely Rachel McAdams for my next change in hair colour!
A kind of pretty pink that will go with my floral wardrobe rather than a strong punky one.
I'm really excited about it. =D

Thinking pink
Brightening up my winter wardrobe with some bold pink accessories:
This brooch was bought at the same recent Dorothy Perkins spree as my cream snood, as were the gloves for that matter. I like lace, I like pearls and I like pink so there wasn't that much room to go wrong really! An absolute bargain at £2.40, plus it has a clip on the back too so it can be put on lapels or even in my hair!
The headband is a few months old from Oasis, another bargain I do believe.

:( In need of a happy post!
I'm not feeling at all well today, and all I really want to do is go to sleep, and then get to the doctors in the morning. Urgh.
But hugging my lovely guinea pigs (they're so adorable) and putting together this polyvore set made me smile.

My favourite lipstick is in there, as is tie-dye which I'm currently obsessed with as I'm including some in my fahsion project. Hello Kitty is also so cheerful, I have lost my USB sticks at the moment- I put them away before holiday, yes the holiday I went on in July, and have not found them since- but they are not so pretty as this one even if I could find them! I also like cereal and always seem to be short of a bowl so this one would do nicely. I also managed to include a headband, and I do love those, it's even pink and has jewels, and some hydrangeas, which happen to look just like the ones that are inspiring my dress at college. =)

Pop!

I've wanted gloves like these for a very long time! I'm so happy I found nice ones that fit.
Borders is dangerous- too many unusual, very nice, expensive magazines on sale in one lovely display. Fashion overload.
